I really can’t think of anything to blog about at the moment.

My friends are really good friends. Computing rocks. Oxford is such a lovely place.

Daniel

So I am teaching some C, some Object Oriented Techniques and some Objective-C to a bunch of computing students. I am kinda looking forward to it, because I really want to get into tutoring and research (and maybe eventually lecturing). This is for the computing society, because we have an open source project to do.

At the moment I am not feeling to good, I woke up like it… not sure what is going on. Hopefully I will be ok for the lunchtime tutorage, and the mealage tonightage. Hopefully a cup of tea will sort me out.

I (hopefully) get my tesco vouchers today, from my work in (Brookes) week 0.

I had my PhD meeting yesterday, unfortunately the department doesn’t get enough funding to be able to fund me… so I am going to have to find my own funding from organisations/companies, but they are going to help me a little. Not the news that I wanted really, but I think I should be able to get funding for my project. I worked out that I would need at the very least about £9500 per year to be able to survive, and that is for 3 years. This would cover fees and living/surviving costs. Would you like to fund me or partial-fund me?

Last night, several times, I woke up with serious cramp in my left leg… ouchy! It still hurts now.

Listening to Kerrang Radio through digital terrestrial (called freeview in the uk). Its actually really good, its the morning talk.. funny.

Brookes CompSoc is going well… I am going to do some teaching (first lesson is on C Programming). That should be fun, need to refresh my C knowledge first though.
I have a meeting about my PhD tomorrow, I really want this… I have a fab topic!

Anyways, feel free to contact me or whatever.

Cheers, Daniel//

Woo, my blog system (wordpress) has been catching spam comments… which is great, they go into moderation and I tell wordpress its spam and it gets rid of it all.

So I am up early. I need to go to Wheatley, it was a bit silly of me to get up at 6 though, when the first bus gets to my stop shortly after 7:30. Damnsilly.

Quote for today: “Life is as simple as you make it”… kind of works with the threefold law, as written by Lady Gwen Thompson (or Adriana Porter) in Rede Of The Wiccae:

Ever mind the Rule of Three
Three times what thou givest returns to thee
This lesson well, thou must learn
Thee only gets what thou dost earn!
Therefore: Make life simple, you get simple back. Make life complex, you get complex back. (and you might get whatever back times three).
Right, need to get ready to go. Talk soon!Â

Howdie everyone!

If anyone has Objective-C experience and would like to be involved in an Open Source Project then please let me know. Thankies.

I need sleep… but there are more important things right now.

Talk soon

Right, howdy.

I am 1 step closer to PhD wonderfulness. I spoke to someone in the computing department yesterday, and she has told me a few people to speak to - looks like i should be able to get some funding, and looks like the department would be interested in such a project as they have some interesting related projects. I think I have definitely decided on the religions/beliefs project, should be very interesting… theres a reverand in the department (apparently)! So, I have three people to visit to talk to about my potential phd project. (I apologise for the amount of “interesting”s)
In other news, course is going quite well, found out my first piece of coursework (for Agent Technology). Work is going well (may have some bits to do within computing, fingers crossed).

I am just recovering from a cold type thing (probably freshers-flu, damn freshers :-p, hehe).

It looks like a nice day today, and I really need to get ready to go out. So, catch you laters!
