# Holidays Over
Hi all,
The holidays (Christmas + New Year) are over, and people are getting back to work… and even though I was working between Christmas and New Year there are still little bits of Technology News to catch up on.
I am also still having problems with Flash (anyone fancy finishing off an animation in Flash for me for free?), its not good. I will probably get on with some other tasks for work today, because I really need too, and Flash is taking up too much of my time (and my thoughts outside of work hours!). I’ll probably pick the Flash task up again later today or tomorrow. Hopefully I can manage to get onto the company intranet to check out my tasks, I am in a different place at the moment, so its proving troublesome. I can remember some of the tasks from memory though, so I’ll be ok today even if I can’t connect.
I’ve got some things to look forward to this year:
- Some conferences to go to (either presenting or just attending)
- Some UK BarCamps to co-organise
- Some podcasts to record and distribute
- I’ll be moving to Bristol in May
- I’ll be starting my Masters in October
So my emphasis (or maybe new-years-resolution) this year is to:
- work really hard for my work and my education
- continue to build on my spirituality and philosophies
- be more kind, caring and understanding
- continue to grow with Beki (in a relationship/philosophical sense)
Although I say “work really hard”, it is important to relax, and it was one of my problems last year - I just didn’t regulate when I was working and when I was not… everything fused into one. So, I will be trying to fix that this year too, its essential to have a “work time” and a “relax time” for good health.

So there it is; my personal news for today, before today, and also some stuff that will be happening in the future. The content of this post has transfered itself from my brain through my neck into my arms then my hands and finally through my fingers and into my MacBook - I haven’t spell checked it or looked through it again for grammar…. this is so that you can get a feel for what thoughts are in my head.
I should be doing a techy post later on today, on some aspect of the semantic web, and with some OpenLink stuff thrown in too. So check back later
