January 9th, 2008 by daniel

My girlfriend (Beki) is looking for a work experience year, here are her requirements:

  • Full time
  • Starting in July 2008
  • Until July 2009 but would consider continuing until September 2009
  • In or near Bristol (would consider Bath), UK
  • Office based, not work from home
  • Within the Computer Science field (including Software Engineering, Web Development and others)

Her skills include:

  • Programming Languages:
    • C
    • Delphi
    • PHP
    • SQL
    • Java (starting module this coming semester)
    • Haskell (starting module this coming semester)
  • Theories:
    • Automata, Lambda Calculus, Turing Machines
    • Boolean Logic
    • Compiler Development (starting module this coming semester)
    • Functional Programming (starting module this coming semester)
    • Formal Specification (starting module this coming semester)
  • Software Engineering Techniques:
    • Requirements Specification
    • Waterfall Model and Iterative Model
    • UML (Unified Modeling Language)
    • Procedural Software Development
    • Object Oriented Software Development (starting module this coming semester)

This year of work experience is for her third year of her 4 year degree at Oxford Brookes University where she is studying for a BSc(Hons) Computer Science (Mathematical).

Obviously, I do recommend her. I know what she is intellectually capable of doing, and the most important thing is that she has a thirst for helping others and a thirst for learning.

Feel free to email me (or her) if you would like to know a bit more, or would like her CV, or would even like to set up an email with her.

  • My email address is: danieljohnlewis [at] gmail [dot] com
  • Her email address is: rebeccaturp [at] gmail [dot] com

(I’ll post again in the future when she has found a position)
