Web 3.0 - Let’s Talk

December 1st, 2007 by daniel

Hi all,

I am trying to get some discussions going about “Web 3.0″. I am using a Google Group that somebody else created, but they have not taken it any further, it is available here:

https://groups.google.com/group/web30

Please join it. Basically in order to take things forward we need to talk about these things, instead of Nova Spivack just claiming that he has the best definition.

I am looking for people (developers, testers and users) from various communities/companies/organisations to join in discussions:

  • Web 2.0 - AJAX/JavaScript etc
  • Web 2.0 - Social Networks/Webs etc
  • Web 2.0 - Mashups
  • Plain Web Development - HTML/XHTML
  • Web Standards
  • Service Oriented Development - Webservice, REST, SOAP etc
  • Semantic Web (especially Linked Data and SWEO people)
  • Intelligent Systems: Symbolic Intelligence / Connectionist Intelligence / ALife
  • Anyone else that may be interested (could be from philosophy, psychology etc etc)

I would also like to organise (at least) two proper meetings, definitely one in the UK and one in the USA. (Europe, Asia and Australia also welcome to setup meetings). I have put a message on the group: “Lets get things going with Web 3.0″

Feel free to get in contact if you would like to help out.

Many thanks,

Daniel
